Today was a very hectic day. It started around 8AM and ended at around 12 AM. We were able to visit with S this morning but didn't get to spend too much time as we were traveling to Odessa to pick up my parents. They have been staying in Odessa for the past week. The drive from Izmail to Odessa is about 3 hours, each way. In Odessa, we had a very nice lunch at Compot (ukrainian style food), simple but good. After that, our friend picked us up and drove to AutoVoksal (it's a place from where all the buses leave). It costs $50 for all five of us to travel to Izmail from Odessa. The drive was ok, just a bit bumpy. Tomorrow morning, my parents would be able to meet S and his friends. I have told kids that my mom will teach them how to play Sudoku. Our facilitator went back to Kiev for a few days, so we are on our own. It's okay for us since we speak Russian but it must be very scary for other Americans. More tomorrow.
