Home at last

My three guys are now home. They flew from Kiev at 5:35 AM on Friday morning and landed in Atlanta at 4:00 PM Friday afternoon (time difference). There was a small group of people greeting them, my parents, my cousins Maxine and Henry and my brother Viktor with his youngest son Sasha. Slava and the boys were exhausted from the trip. We quickly got home and thanks to my dad, were fed big bowls of borsch and fresh salad with chicken cutlets. Sam loved his new room and put the sign that I made for him over his bed.

The next day, Sam commented how hot it was outside. He is used to playing outside most of the day but here he only  spend a few minutes outside and came back. We really didn't want to overwhelm him with different activities for the first few days. Alec was  invited to his friends birthday party at the pool and I decided to take the boys there. It was Sam's first time in the pool. He had a blast, didn't even wanted to get out to eat. At home, he got a first taste of mangoes and pineapple, which he has never eaten before. I think that his transition into our family is going really well. It certainly helps that we speak his language.  Sam put together 100 piece puzzle in 20 minutes.
